The Supreme Religious Authority: The person must be precise, conscious, wise and pious

SHAFAQNA- Alkafeel: The Supreme Religious Authority affirmed that a person must be precise and conscious, and must deal with things wisely for fear of being in a situation that is deliberately make him commit sins. The seriousness of this is that the person deliberately interpret things differently to not make the correct decision. He makes himself puzzled, in doubt, and always apologizing for his wrong positions.
These were the important points stated during the second sermon of the blessed Friday prayer for the day of 6th of Rabi’ al-Thani 1440 AH, corresponding to December 14, 2018, which was held in the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and was led by his eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, in which he stated:
Brethren, I will narrate a story that happened in front of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), so we can meditate and analyse it to learn some lessons:
Before the Camel battle, ‘Ammar observed that Mughira bin Sho’ba came to the Commander of the Faithful and made suggestions to him, and had some hopes and wishes while paying these visits. ‘Ammar understood his satanic politics and was also well aware of his deceitful life and hypocritical relations. He, therefore, watched carefully every step taken by this licentious person and in view of the fact that the position of a missionary of truth demanded that he should work for the mobilization of truth he did not refrain from inviting to his side even this obstinate person, so that he might also possibly join the camp of ‘Ali.
However, as Mughira had developed hostility against ‘Ali, he evaded agreeing to do so and preferred joining the camp of the enemy in Camel battle so that he might get the reward for the hostility against Imam Ali (peace be upon him) from the enemy. Moreover, Mughira’s being a member of the Umayyad party also did not allow him to become a follower of ‘Ali.
Above all Mughira was not, intrinsically a person who might have taken a decision and undertaken a task in such an agitated and convulsive atmosphere unless his material benefit was ensured. Hence, keeping all these matters in view, he said to ‘Ammar with a glib and soft tongue: “I need time till this dark horizon becomes bright and the moon appears. At that time I will take my step clear-sightedly in the light.”
Although this was the most explicit reply which was compatible with the condition and position of Mughira in all respects and represented his way of thinking. However as a missionary of truth always pursues his object with insistence ‘Ammar said to Mughira emphatically: “O Mughira! I seek refuge in Allah! Do you want to remain blind and sit in a corner like the blind when your inner eye has already been opened? Just reflect about your condition and see what you are seeing and what you are doing. I tell you that I am one who will not take a step except in the foremost row.”
‘Ammar drove Mughira into a corner, putting forward arguments continuously and making him dumbfounded. Mughira was looking this way and that way like a prey which wants to slip away from the hand of the hunter.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was hearing the conversation of ‘Ammar and Mughira and fully realized that the discussion was futile and useless. He, therefore, said to ‘Ammar: “Leave Mughira alone. He wants only that much from the religion which guarantees his world (i.e. worldly gains). He purposely makes things dubious for himself and his idea is that these doubts should cover his lapses and serve as an excuse for his deviations.”
The words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) are in of utmost eloquence and splendor. In fact when ‘Ammar said ‘I’ he did not utter this word in the capacity of the speaker but in the capacity of a sign of guidance and a symbol of exhortation.
We would like to emphasize this part of the words of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him): “He purposely makes things dubious for himself and his idea is that these doubts should cover his lapses and serve as an excuse for his deviations.” There are some people who purposely makes things dubious for them so their doubts serve as an excuse for their mistakes. And so, they are intentionally unable to distinguish between the right and falsehood.
In this case, the person is aware and certain of the matter but he is closing his eyes deliberately to find excuses to others, because as said by the Prince of eloquence; Imam Ali (peace be upon him): “He wants only that much from the religion which guarantees his world (i.e. worldly gains).”
Many people apologize saying that the things were dubious for them and they could not see clear. Here, we say that such things can happen in certain matters, but not in the obvious subjects, as the right is clear and the falsehood is clear. And those who were not being able to take the right decision because it was a dubious matter, say this excuse only because they had other interests.
The person must be precise and conscious, and must deal with things wisely for fear of making things dubious for themselves. As this is a serious case, when the person deliberately do this to not take a position, and be in doubt. And this is a lesson we have to learn from the eloquent words of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in all sides of our life.
We ask the Almighty Allah to bestow upon us success, protect our families and bless our country. And the last of our prayers is praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and Allah’s prayers and peace be upon Mohammad and upon his pure and virtuous lineage.
