The ways to strengthen bond with relatives according to the holy Quran

SHAFAQNA – The holy verses (Ayahs) of the Quran have emphasized strengthening bond with family and relatives, but how can we do this in the best ways. This question has been answered by the Quran of which five examples are outlined below.

  1. Forgiveness; meaning, being able to forgive the mistakes of relatives and behave in a way as if nothing happened; as mentioned in Ayah 22 of Sural A-Noor.
  2. Feeding and food help; one of the ways which has been mentioned in the holy Quran for having good connection with relatives is to feed them and provide them with food stuff, as is mentioned in Ayah 61 of Surah A-Noor, and Ayahs of Surah Al-Balad.
  3. Financial help; providing financial help is one of the most important ways of establishing bond between relatives, as is mentioned in Ayah 7 of Surah Al-Hashr
  4. Helping them when making a will; one of the ways to help relatives is to consider them when making a will, even those relatives who are not eligible by inheritance decrees, as they are not considered to be very close family and relatives; as mentioned in Ayah 8 of Surah Nisa.
  5. Payment of charity money; relatives have priority in this case, especially those who are neighbours, and charity money must be paid to them before others; as mentioned in Ayah 177 of Surah Al-Baqarah.
