Three explosions near Shia Leaders’ house in Sanna

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Yemeni security officials say three explosive devices have blown up outside the houses of Shia leaders in the capital Sanaa, AP reports.

The officials said the explosions early Monday damaged several houses and injured eight people whose identities have not been disclosed.

Five other explosive devices in Sanaa have been dismantled, the officials said on condition of anonymity because they aren’t authorized to brief the media.

The officials did not say who was behind the explosions, but the Shia Ansarullah – known as Houthis – have spent months battling local al-Qaida militants.
