SHAFAQNA – Following a protest held before the Saudi Embassy in London this Wednesday anti-war and human rights activists will take to social media this Wednesday to denounce wanton murder in Yemen.
Since late March 2015 Saudi Arabia and a coalition of foreign powers have pounded Yemen from the air, blockaded its borders and starved its people. 26 million souls stand now alone, abandoned and betrayed by the very nations which have claimed morality as their holy ground.
Over 13,000 civilians have died by the hands of al-Saud regime and tens of thousands have been injured. More troubling still has been Western powers’ ambition to profit from such a genocide as they have sold weapons of war to Riyadh, unhinged by Yemen’s suffering.
