UAE marks Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday

SHAFAQNA – A paid holiday has been declared for the private sector in the UAE on December 24 to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet.

AdTech AdMinistries and government departments will remain closed on Thursday (December 24) to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

A circular issued by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, declared the official holiday for the public sector.

Also a paid holiday has been declared for the private sector on December 24 to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet.

A circular to this end has been issued by Saqr Ghobash, the UAE Minister of Labour, as per the provisions of Article 74 of the Federal Law No.8 of 1980 concerning labour relations and its amendments.

Marking the holy occasion, the minister sent his regards to The President,  His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the seven Emirates.

He wished the citizens of the UAE happiness and prosperity on this occasion, as well as residents and prayed for further progress and wealth to all Arab and Islamic nations as well.
