SHAFAQNA – Britain is still in shock following a terror attack that struck London this past Saturday. The attack drew international condemnations. However, it once again made the world look back to see what led to the birth and the growth of a sinister phenomenon that has affected many nations today. And in search for an answer to that, one finds that the policies of previous politicians in Western capitals are to blame. And at the top of the list are Britain’s former prime minister Tony Blair – and even the country’s incumbent premier Theresa May.
US ‘not trustworthy’
Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday renewed his warning against trusting the US government. The Leader – in a speech on the occasion of the 28th passing anniversary of the nation’s late Leader Imam Khomeini – emphasized that being friends with the US is more dangerous than staying away from it. Ayatollah Khamenei also said that it was shameless of the US to criticize Iran over its elections while hailing Saudi Arabia, which he described as a tribal backward system.
