The ways to progress in life according to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH)

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: A person came to see the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and said: O’ the Prophet of Allah (SWT), advise me. The Prophet (PBUH) asked that person three times: If I advise you, will you do it? That person replied three times: Yes, yes. The Prophet (PBUH) said: I advise you that whenever you want to do a task, think about its result; if it causes you to progress and guides you to the right way, do it; and if it causes you to go the wrong way, avoid it [1]. In another narration, the Prophet (PBUH) said: There are three things which prevent the human being to progress to high ranks; 1) lack of endeavour/effort, 2) not enough resourcefulness, 3) inability to think and making decisions [2]
