What are the effects and benefits of enjoining good and prohibiting bad?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Indeed, enjoining good and prohibiting bad is like Salaat [1]. Imam Ali (AS) said: Verily, enjoining good and prohibiting bad does not bring close the death and does not decrease the human being’s sustenance [2]. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) also said: Enjoining good is Sadaqah (charity in the way of God), and prohibiting bad is Sadaqah [3]. In another occasion, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: The one who enjoins good and prohibits bad, is God’s deputy on the earth, and deputy of the Prophet of Allah (SWT) and deputy of God’s Book (the Quran) [4]. It is also narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: The best people are those who are more pious to their God and have more connection with their family and relatives and enjoin good and prohibit bad more than others [5]. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) also said: The one who enjoins good and prohibits bad is like a martyr [6].
