What did the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Ahlul Bait (AS) used to do in the Month of Ramadhan and Lailatul Qadr?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Ali (AS) who said: The Prophet (PBUH) used to pack his bed in the last ten days of Ramadhan and go to the Mosque for I’tekaaf (spend time in the Mosque), and although the Mosque did not have a roof, even when it rained, he did not leave the Mosque [1]. It is also narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) was awake in the nights of Qadr and used to spray water in the face of sleepy people to keep them awake [2].

The daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), Lady Fatimah Zahra (SA) also used to stay awake in the nights of Qadr and worship God till morning. She also kept her family and children awake in those nights and all the family spent their time in the Mosque in the nights of Qadr. According to a narration, Imam Sadeq (AS) was very ill in one of the Qadr nights, but despite his condition asked his family to take him to the Mosque in order to pray there [3]. All members of Ahlul Bait (AS) followed the traditions of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) in the Month of Ramadhan and Qadr nights.
