What is the connection between accepting an apology and humbleness?

SHAFAQNA – One of the issues connected to humbleness, is the case of accepting apology from a person who has done bad to us, and then he/she apologizes and asks for forgiveness. The issue is that if a person who is done a bad act against another human being and then apologizes; and if that person accepts the apology, this soul is humble. Even from the Islamic point of view, there is another level to this issue which says if a human being has done bad to you, not only accept his/her apology, but also you do good to that human being in this regard [1].
