What is the consequence of falsehood?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Truth is heavy and bitter and untruth/falsehood is light and sweet; and perhaps it is a false desire and will not last for an hour or so, but it will cause endless sorrow and sadness [1].
