What is the ruling on selling pigs? The Grand Ayatollah Makarem’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi answered questions about selling pigs and alcohol for inedible products for the human being.

Question: What is the ruling on buying and selling alcohol and pigs to non-Muslims and even to Muslims if they are used for rational products which does not include edible products for the human being? For example selling pig meat for dog food or alcohol for producing industrial alcohol?

The Grand Ayatollah Makarem: According to assumptions of the question, there is no problem.
