SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about shaking hands with non-Mahram relations.

Question: What is the ruling on shaking hands with non-Mahram woman if avoiding it lead to uneasy situation and break up of family connection, or cause parent’s objection?

The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: Shaking hands with non-Mahram is not allowed, and there is no problem if is done by wearing gloves or another barrier.
