What is the ruling on working in a nail salon? The Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about working in a nail salon.

Question: I work in a hairdressing salon and deal with planting nails; is there any problem with my work and the wages I receive from it?

The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: Receiving wages for this job which prevents Wudhu to be performed correctly is not right; but if the worker knows that the customer is satisfied for her to receive the money, can use that money. I addition, if the worker thinks it may be effective; it is a duty of her to remind the customer about the religious ruling of the issue (planting nails).
