What to do if wealth is a mixture of Halal and Haram but the owner of Haram part is known? The Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s answer

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about wealth which is a mixture of Halal and Haram but the owner (of that part of wealth) is known.

The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: If wealth is a mixture of Halal and Haram, and the amount of Haram is unknown, but the owner of (that part) is known; if they cannot reach agreement, the amount that is certain to belong to the owner of that part must be paid to him/her. And taking precaution, if the mixing of Halal and Haram is the fault of the payer, a higher amount than the probable amount must be paid to the owner of the that part of the wealth.
