SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Sistani answered a question about wearing veil.
Question: If wearing veil on the face in a town causes surprise and asking questions and is considered as the fame seeking clothing, is it Wajeb not to wear it?
The Grand Ayatollah Sistani: It does not become Wajeb unless when wearing veil on the face attracts more attention or the people of the town consider it bad and unusual and it is considered as fame seeking clothing which in these cases it is Wajeb not to use it.
