Who are the children of the hereafter?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Ali (AS) who said: Be the children of the hereafter [1]. The one who is the child of the hereafter; wants this world for the sake of the hereafter and considers this world as a farm for the hereafter which must be harvested and enjoy its products. Imam Hussain (AS) said: Deal with the world in way as if there is no world; as if there was no world and as if the hereafter was there from the beginning [2]. The children of the hereafter live on the earth but they do not live in this world, because they are either in the position of looking at the kingdom of heaven (Ayah 185 of Surah Al-A’araaf) or in the position of seeing the kingdom of heaven (Ayah 75, Surah Al-An’aam). Therefore, they see and recognize affairs which belong to heaven and hell and based on this recognition, they deal with those affairs. So, they do not touch the food which is fire and they do not carry out an act which is the arrow of fire from hell.
