Worshipping God

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – Societies can be guided to the right paths by introducing righteous role models to them and vice-versa. The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) defined the heart of a human being in three sentences. He said: Human’s heart is like a sparrow, meaning one day can’t sleep because of someone’s love and another day sulks in a way that is not prepared to write a letter to the same person. In another place he said: Human’s heart is like a boiling vessel, meaning it is turning upside down all the time and in another sentence he said: Human’s heart is like a straw, meaning it can be turned upside down very easily.

Therefore a human being must take care of his/her heart. Worshipping and praying God has intellectual and wise reasons behind it. In Ayah 21 of Surah Al-Baqarah it is said: O’ people, worship God who created you. Therefore God must be worshipped. It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Prayers have branches; the most important branch is that a human should pursue the Halal ways [1].
