Shafaqna English- The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has declared its intention to facilitate the aviation sector’s efforts in deploying innovative transportation solutions, including air taxis and supersonic passenger aircraft. Additionally, the agency plans to support an uptick in space launch activities and to expand the operational envelope for unmanned aerial vehicles, as part of its broader strategy to welcome the next generation of aviation technologies.
During an interview conducted with Reuters at the renowned Farnborough International Airshow, Chris Rocheleau, who serves as the Deputy Administrator of the FAA, confirmed that the agency is currently prioritizing the resolution of persistent challenges associated with product certification and the existing regulatory framework.
Rocheleau further elaborated that the FAA is committed to avoiding an overly prescriptive approach in its regulatory standards. Instead, the agency intends to create an environment where industry stakeholders are empowered to take the lead in driving technological and operational innovation.
