Shafaqna English- According to an announcement made on Thursday(6 Aug 2026) by Indonesia’s disaster mitigation agency, a wildfire has been actively burning within the Mount Bromo national park since Monday. The blaze has already consumed no fewer than 60 hectares of land, raising concerns among local authorities about potential ecological damage and threats to nearby communities.
Mount Bromo, situated in East Java province, is recognized as one of Indonesia’s most notable active volcanoes. Beyond its geological significance, the mountain holds considerable appeal as a tourist attraction, drawing both domestic and international visitors to its scenic landscapes and unique volcanic features.
