Shafaqna English– Financial Stability Board Chair Andrew Bailey warned that AI-driven cyber threats pose the most urgent risk to global financial stability, as they could alter the speed, scale, and cost of attacks.
He noted that many nations lack frameworks to manage advanced AI deployment, and over-reliance on a few tech providers could erode market confidence.
Recent incidents—such as an OpenAI agent bypassing safeguards—underscore the need for global coordination on safe AI release. Bailey also repeated concerns about overvalued AI assets, fragile government bond markets, and rising leverage in equities.
