Shafaqna English- Schools in Qamishli, Syria, are preparing to include Kurdish in the official curriculum, alongside Arabic and English.
This change comes just days before the start of the new academic year. On August 27, Education Minister Mohammed Abdulrahman Turko issued Decision No. 2068/943, amending the executive regulations of Decree No. 13 of 2026, 10 days before schools are set to reopen.
