Shafaqna English- Jorge Messi, father of football legend Lionel Messi, passed away on Friday(7 Aug 2026) evening at the age of 68 in a Rosario medical facility following a prolonged battle with illness, according to confirmation from the family to Reuters.
During his final months, Jorge divided his time between a Rosario medical center and his home, with his wife Celia and their children Rodrigo, Matias, and Maria Sol by his side, the family stated.
