Brazil’s annual inflation declines in July

Shafaqna English- Official data released on Tuesday(11 Aug 2026) by the statistics agency IBGE showed that Brazil’s annual inflation rate declined in July, largely matching market forecasts. The rate moved back into the central bank’s target range, as the impact of tighter monetary policy continued to work its way through the economy.

Consumer prices in Latin America’s largest economy rose 4.44% in the 12 months through July, IBGE reported, down from a 4.64% increase in the prior month. The annual rate was slightly higher than the 4.40% median estimate in a Reuters economist survey.
