Save the Children: One in 10 children in Afghanistan faces acute malnutrition

Shafaqna English- Recent research by Save the Children reveals that 10% of infants and very young children in Afghanistan are suffering from acute malnutrition.

Acute malnutrition involves a rapid and severe decrease in weight or nutritional health within a short timeframe.

The aid organisation also warned that the number of children vulnerable to malnutrition is rising as essential health services shut down due to a healthcare funding shortage.
