UNESCO: 2.4 million Afghan girls remain excluded from secondary education

Shafaqna English- According to UNESCO, approximately 2.4 million girls in Afghanistan are barred from attending secondary school.

The agency has reiterated its appeal to the Taliban government to remove restrictions on female education. On Tuesday, UNESCO reported that the number of girls denied secondary education has increased by 200,000 since the previous year and may near four million by 2030.
