Shafaqna English– Barcelona secured a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou on Thursday in their first home fixture of the new LaLiga season, with goals from Raphinha and Fermin Lopez securing a strong start for the Catalan side on home soil.
Raphinha capitalized on Pedri’s threaded through pass, rounded the Athletic keeper, and opened the scoring in the 37th minute. In the 82nd minute, Fermin reacted alertly to Laporte’s defensive blunder and Adeyemi’s low cross, firing home from inside the box to secure Barcelona’s second and final goal.
