Shafaqna English– Iraq’s oil exports have climbed to their highest average daily volume since the Iran-U.S. war broke out in the region, a conflict that has severely constrained shipping lanes through the Strait of Hormuz. The oil ministry released the figures on Friday, confirming that August’s performance marks a significant milestone for the country’s energy sector amid regional turbulence.
During a press briefing, Iraq’s Oil Minister, Bassem Mohammed Khudair, revealed that the country’s exports since August 1 have averaged two million barrels per day, accumulating to roughly 26 million barrels in total. He emphasized that this daily export rate had been accomplished “for the first time since the current crisis erupted.”
