Shafaqna English– The Asia-Pacific bond markets, once of minor significance, are now witnessing a massive influx of foreign borrowers. This indicates that in a world of growing uncertainty and unprecedented borrowing, it is not only technology giants that are hunting for financing from every possible source.
This year has seen the first-ever bond issuances in Australian dollars and Chinese yuan (both onshore and offshore) by Germany’s Commerzbank, France’s Engie, Henkel (owner of the Persil brand), Singapore Airlines, and the government of Portugal.
