Shafaqna English- Afghans were the third-largest group among migrants arriving in the UK by small boats, after citizens of Eritrea and Sudan, according to the UK Home Office.
However, the number of Afghans arriving in the UK by small boats during this period decreased by 37 % compared to the previous year.
Afghans continue to migrate to European countries through illegal and dangerous routes, often involving detention, drowning risks, and human trafficking.
The UK Home Office states that in the year ending June 2026, Afghans made up 13 % of migrants arriving in the country by small boats.
