Shafaqna English– Authorities in Spain decided to evacuate the remains of three kings from the 11th century who had ruled over the Aragon region. The evacuation took place on Thursday from a monastery that was being threatened by an advancing wildfire, putting the ancient relics at risk.
Mar Vaquero, the vice-president of the northeastern region, announced that the remains of the three medieval kings had been transferred to Huesca’s provincial museum, which is located 80 kilometers south of the threatened monastery. She explained that this precautionary step was necessary to protect the valuable historical artifacts from potential fire damage.
