Shafaqna English- Most cities across Afghanistan are facing electricity shortages, according to the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
In a post on X on Monday, July 20, the agency said households are experiencing power outages, businesses are being affected, and young people are unable to study at night.
UN-Habitat stressed that investment in renewable energy, particularly solar power, is important for building resilient and sustainable cities in Afghanistan.
