Shafaqna English- A wildfire that ignited near Vancouver on Wednesday(5 Aug 2026) – located roughly 30 kilometers (18.64 miles) from the major Canadian city – triggered an evacuation alert for nearby residents. The situation has been exacerbated by the ongoing spread of numerous blazes throughout Western Canada, where a combination of dry conditions and elevated temperatures has enabled the fires to advance steadily.
Residents of approximately 35 households in the small community of Anmore were instructed on Wednesday to get ready for a possible evacuation. They were advised to have essential items packed and ready, including important identification documents issued as well as any necessary prescription medications.
