IOM: Thousands of vulnerable families in Nangarhar struggle to access basic needs

Shafaqna English- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced that thousands of vulnerable families in the Khogyani district of Nangarhar province are struggling to access basic needs after returning from Pakistan and becoming internally displaced within Afghanistan.

The organization reported on Wednesday, August 19, that many of these families settled in Khogyani district in search of security and stability following natural disasters and economic hardships.

According to the report, limited employment opportunities, poverty, displacement, and restricted access to basic services have made life difficult for many of these families.
