Shafaqna English– Oil prices experienced a decline in Friday(28 Aug 2026) trading, bringing an end to their two-week upward trajectory. This drop came despite a price rise in the previous session, which was fueled by reports of Trump’s unwillingness to return to the former deal with Iran. Nevertheless, this increase was insufficient to counter the new downward trend, as the market continues to be influenced by supply-and-demand dynamics.
Brent crude futures dipped 25 cents to $89.45, representing a 0.3% decline. Meanwhile, WTI crude fell 22 cents to $83.31, also a 0.3% drop. These equivalent declines reflect the cautious sentiment prevailing in the oil market.
