Shafaqna English– Data released on Friday(28 Aug 2026) revealed that India’s industrial output growth slowed to 6.7% year-on-year in July, as mining activity contracted and growth in manufacturing and electricity sectors also decelerated.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected industrial output growth to decline to 6% in July, while the previous month’s figure was revised to 8.8%.
Since May, the Indian government has shifted its factory output calculation method from wholesale prices to producer prices.
