FIFA controversy, US investor expresses regret

Shafaqna English– Josh Kushner, a prominent venture capitalist, acknowledged that his firm Thrive would have refrained from participating in FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s initiative to auction off a portion of the World Cup’s commercial rights to private equity firms, had they possessed foresight into the eventual trajectory and consequences of the endeavor.

Kushner, who is the brother of Jared Kushner — the son-in-law of President Donald Trump — expressed support for the underlying concept of Infantino’s unsuccessful FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) initiative. However, he conceded that Thrive had failed to grasp the intricate political dynamics inherent to international football governance.
