Shafaqna English– Turkey and Saudi Arabia are set to enhance their cooperation in renewable energy by signing a new agreement for an additional 3,000 megawatts (MW). This will bring the total planned capacity for their projects in Turkey to 5,000 MW, as stated by Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.
Bayraktar noted that Turkey and Saudi Arabia had previously entered into an agreement for 2,000 MW of renewable energy projects. “We will increase this capacity to 5,000 megawatts with a new 3,000-megawatt agreement during the UN Climate Conference in Antalya,” he said, according to a statement released by the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry on Saturday.
