Shafaqna English– Boeing’s proposed four-year contract for its engineering and technical workforce was soundly rejected, according to union officials speaking on Friday(21 Aug 2026), signaling deep dissatisfaction among employees with the terms offered by the planemaker.
The union also stated that the 17,000 members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) gave their negotiating team a clear and convincing mandate to call a strike once the contract expires on October 6th, raising the prospect of significant disruptions at Boeing.
