Shafaqna English– Ayatollah Mohammad Andaleeb Hamadani, Senior Scholar of Qom Seminary stated: Based on the combined Shia-Sunni reports regarding the attack on the house of Fatimah (SA) and Ali (AS), it appears that this incident did not happen only once.
In the first attack, the goal was to break the sit-in of those who were inside the house of the Commander of the Faithful (AS) refusing to declare allegiance. Some of the companions were also present inside the house. The threat to burn the house was related to this first stage: “If they do not come out, we will set the house on fire.”
However, during the later attacks, which occurred again after some time, the martyrdom of Hazrat Muhsin (AS) took place. During the final attack Imam Ali (AS), Lady Fatimah (SA) and their children were inside the house; the companions had already been removed from the house and the sit-in had been broken.
It was during this last attack that the Commander of the Faithful (AS) was dragged out of his home and threatened with death; and it was in the same attack that the initial threat of burning the house was actually carried out, and the door of the house of Lady Fatimah Zahra (SA) was set on fire.
It was also in this final assault that the beating and injuring of Lady Fatimah (SA) by the hypocritical attackers occurred, leading to the miscarriage of Hazrat Muhsin (AS). These very events caused her martyrdom shortly thereafter.
Professor Andaleeb Hamadani said: Whether her grave is in Rawdhat-an-Nabi or in Al-Baqi Cemetery, this is a matter which we do not have absolute certainty. This is among the mysteries of the Family of God which we cannot speak with certainty. This concealment is itself a sign of the oppression of Lady Fatimah (SA) and a disgrace for those who seized power by force and committed injustice against that noble lady.
