Shafaqna English- The United States urged the European Union on Friday to relax its laws that hold large companies accountable for the environmental and social impacts of their global supply chains.
The US argued that the EU had committed to ensuring these measures would not hinder trade between the EU and the US.
US Ambassador to the EU, Andrew Puzder, expressed on X that the 27-nation bloc should uphold the promises made during trade discussions with President Donald Trump in Turnberry, Scotland, in July 2025, which included addressing non-tariff barriers.
