Shafaqna English- In the second quarter of 2026, seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 0.4% in the euro area and by 0.5% in the EU compared to the previous quarter, according to a flash estimate published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
In the first quarter of 2026, GDP had remained stable in the euro area and increased by 0.1% in the EU.
When compared to the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 1.0% in the euro area and by 1.2% in the EU in the second quarter of 2026. This followed increases of 0.5% in the euro area and 0.8% in the EU in the previous quarter.
