Shafaqna English- lsrael’s government is exploiting anti-Muslim fears to rally a Western right increasingly receptive to its message.
Al Jazeera reports that Israel is strategically using Islamophobia to bolster its waning standing in the West, especially by aligning with far-right movements in the US and Europ. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has centred his re-election campaign on the threat of “radical Islam,” asserting that foreign leaders see Israel as the “model in the struggle against radical Islam.
” This shift from traditional pro-Israel advocacy toward anti-Muslim sentiment is driven by a leaked Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs study from PR firm Stagwell Global, which identified fear of “radical Islam” as the most effective tactic to influence public opinion.
