Honda threatens to halt North America investment

Shafaqna English– A top executive at Honda has indicated that the Japanese car manufacturer may refrain from constructing an eighth assembly facility in North America unless a critical trade agreement is renewed, casting uncertainty over the company’s future production expansion in the region.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is currently engaged in negotiations with Canada and Mexico regarding the future of the USMCA free trade agreement, the outcome of which will likely have significant implications for cross-border commerce and manufacturing investment in the region.
