Shafaqna English– In a Sunday(30 Aug 2026) announcement, U.S. President Trump confirmed that oil from a fresh deal struck with Venezuela would be utilized to refill America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which has seen its levels drop considerably in response to repeated market interventions aimed at stabilizing energy prices and countering global supply shortages over the past few years.
In a post shared on his social media platform, President Trump elaborated that the process of “topping out” the reserve would commence in the near future.
