This death toll has now exceeded that of the 2018-2020 epidemic, officially making it the most deadly Ebola outbreak in the nation’s history.
In its most recent report, Congo’s health institute stated that confirmed infections had climbed to 4,945, with 101 new cases identified within the last 24 hours. This indicates that the outbreak continues to pose a serious public health threat.
