Shafaqna English– A Friday(21 Aug 2026) report from the planet’s largest conservation network reveals that, through initiatives backed by the United Nations aimed at reversing the trend of land degradation, nations worldwide have managed to restore an expanse of land measuring about twice the landmass of France. However, this figure remains markedly below the restoration goals that these very countries had previously committed to achieving.
