Gold sees mild gains as Fed chair remarks awaited

Shafaqna English– Gold prices edged upward during Thursday’s trading session, supported by persistent concerns over the potential erosion of the U.S. dollar’s purchasing power, even as market participants turned their focus toward the much-anticipated comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh, scheduled for later this week, which could provide crucial insights into the central bank’s future monetary policy direction.

By 04:37 Greenwich Mean Time, spot gold had appreciated by 0.6%, reaching a price of $4,618.93 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures contracts recorded a 0.4% increase, settling at $4,673.60, reflecting the market’s cautious optimism amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties.
