Shafaqna English– A representative from SPEEA, the primary union representing Boeing’s engineering and technical white-collar workforce, has confirmed that negotiation teams from both sides are set to reconvene on Monday(31 Aug 2026). The upcoming talks are intended to revive the stalled contract negotiations, which broke down after the union membership rejected the company’s previous terms.
The union’s membership, numbering roughly 17,000 professionals, resoundingly turned down Boeing’s contract offer during a vote held last week. The scale of the rejection—with an overwhelming percentage of members voting against the proposal—indicates deep-seated dissatisfaction with the company’s proposed wage increases, benefits, and working conditions.
