Shafaqna English– Japan put on a stunning display in the 1,000th World Cup match on Saturday(20 Jun 2026), thrashing Tunisia 4-0. A brace from Ayase Ueda was enough to send the African opponents crashing out of the tournament.
Japan, who had drawn 2-2 with the Netherlands in their opening match, scored in the fourth minute through Kamada. Nakamura provided the assist with a cut-back pass to set up Kamada for the opening goal.
